Here's a place for you to leave a note for others to read.
Do you have a correction for the list of people in each picture?
Where are you, and what have you been doing since we last saw you?
Kevin, Stephanie, post something!
This is too embarrassing! I thought I hid all these pictures and then of ALL places for them to surface...THE INTERNET! I never thought I would come across my elemtary pictures on the internet! Well, you've done a great job considering the material you had to work with! Take care and keep up the work! I'll look around to see if I have any pictures I haven't destroyed!
Hi, Belinda! It is GOOD to see you here! Enjoy looking at the pics!
I was a hole lot younger then the people in these picture's, I went to school with the younger brothers and sisters of these people. I also hung out with a few of them, you know the one's who refuse to grow up until they are about 30 or 35. Just kidden! Anyways it is really kind of neat to see what those people looked like when they were younger. Once again GREAT JOB!
Rhonda
I wanted to say thank you for the fun that I had looking at these pictures and remembring some real good times. I still live in laporte, I have two kids,so far life has been good to me. I hope that everyone is as lucky as I have been. I miss seeing all of you guys, sometimes I wish we could all go back but still know what we know now, so that we could see how important school friendship with each other is.
HELLO, THANKS FOR DOING THIS REUNION SITE. I THOUGHT IT WAS REAL NICE OF YOU GUYS TO TAKE THE TIME TO DO THIS, I REALLY ENJOYED GOING DOWN MEMORY LANE. I STILL LIVE IN LAPORTE AND I HAVE TWO CHILDREN, AND DOING GREAT, I HOPE THAT EVERYONE IS DOING FINE AND LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM SOME MORE OF YOU GUYS.
DIANA HILL COOK PRISSYPRIN01@AOL.COM
First of all I would like to say this is too cool! I didn't realize this address book was up yet. I think this all started when my mom came across Laura in the Classmates website. I remembered Laura (though she didn't remember me..lol). For some reason my years in La Porte always had a lasting impression on me. I have always remembered my childhood friends and schoolmates from those years. When Laura first sent me our 5th grade picture I think I remembered almost everyone's name in that picture. I used to love going to Friday night Bulldog games and hanging with my buds. I couldn't wait for High School. After the sixth grade my folks moved and forced me to go to Deer Park JH and I hated it! Those kids hated me because I was from LaPorte and I proudly wore my orange and white Bulldog T Shirt to that school! Lucky I am still alive ; ) Anyway, half way through that year I complained enough and talked my folks into moving me back to La Porte. We still lived in Deer Park so I had to compromise and go to Baker J.H., I knew many of the Baker kids because of Little League baseball and basketball. Baker turned out to be probably the best school I ever went to, I remember seeing some of my La Porte Elem. school friends there such as Diana Hill, etc. and they made be feel at home again. One week before school was going to let out for the summer (this was 7th grade) I got the worst news ever. My stepfather got a job in New York of all places and they took me out of Texas kicking and screaming. School up North was nothing like it was in Texas. The only decent thing about going to school in New York was that I was instantly popular. The girls loved my Texas draw and the guys nicknamed me Tex and everyone wanted to get to know a real Texan. I never got to go to Friday night football in H.S. (because they don't do that up there). They actually had Saturday morning games at 9 AM and the only people that went were the parents of the players. What I remember most was waiting for the bus in 15 below weather (not a good thing for a La Porte kid..lol). For years I always wondered what it would of been like going to High School with my childhood and Junior High friends. I used to go back and read my Baker J.H. yearbook when I lived up there. I think I still have it. Actually, I think Diana Hill was one of the last ones to sign it, real neat to hear from her again and see her messages on this site. O.K. enough of my pathetic story. I now live back in Texas (Austin). Think I am the only guy here so far, anyone know what ever became of Paul Kistler, Ronald Periou, Mike Gibson, Micky Johnson, just to name a few? I have kept in contact with Kevin King and he is living in San Angelo. Talked to him lastweek and he said he was going to write Laura. Well this was a long post so I will end it here. Good to hear from you guys again, Laura, Belinda, Stepanie, and Diana, I remember all of you real well. So when is the Mrs. Bradley 5th grade class reunion??
This is too cool!
Hello!!
First of all Kevin, Ronald lives in LP and is married to a girl named Claire. Micky is a Houston Police officer (Bald HP Officer) and Paul is still around in LP. And Laura you have too much time on your hands and need to get back to work!! J/J To make matters worse I found some pictures from the talent show so I'll get them to Laura and we can all be embarressed!! Take care hope to hear form y'all! stephanie@vbiauction.com
One more thing......Kevin, it said leave a "note" not book, note! J/J
Hey, I can change that!
OK, I apologize for that pathetic story but being moved out of state and away from everyone you know with no advanced notice was pretty traumatizing for a 14 year old. I am now 31 so I think I am pretty much over it now but after 15+ years I had to finally vent somewhere... ; ) I have heard rumors that someone has pics of our 5th grade talent show and they might be getting put on this site in the near future. Could this be true?? BTW if anyone of you LP alums has ICQ, my # is 21012717 if you wish to add me to your contact list. The name will register as Esc48~J.LeBlanc but don't let that throw you, it is a handle I have to use for an internet gaming hobby I participate in. See you all soon!
I just thought I would leave a note so we could be the only three leaving something here on a daily basis!! Not Really,I just like seeing my name in print!!
Kevin you can call me at 281-842-8424 and I can get you in touch with Mickey and Paul we all still hang out together sometimes. It would be nice to hear from Kevin King also. Whoever said that Laura has to much time on her hands is right, but this is a really nice site. Iam the one that gave you Paul's number so it will be a total suprise when you call him. Later Ron Periou
Hey Kevin....What's up dude???? Are you ready to record our hit single from third grade? You remember the one "Set your head on fire". Yep I still remember that original(haha)...and the KISS Army, too. Ronald clued me in to the main site and I made my way to Laura's Excellent LPE site. Good to see all those pics. Call one of us. mickj@ev1.net or 281-998-9278
Hey Mickey, I can't believe you remember that!! I posted in response to you on the Classmates messageboard and I was going to mention that infamous song but I was thinking that there would be no way you would remember that. Funny thing is I did go on to sing in a rock band in High School and a couple of years afterwards but I my band never got to perform "Set Your Head on Fire"...haha. Anyway, I long since cut my long "rock n roll" hair off and now run a Mortgage Co. in Austin. Great to hear from you. Looks like I have a bunch of calls to make. See ya!
Cool! As was stated earlier, I have shaved my head, slick bald(was falling out anyway-ha!). Going for the Stone Cold Steve Austin look, I guess. Send me an e-mail or call one of us when you get the chance. Have you heard from Kevin King?
Good to know I am not the only one with thinning hair..haha. I pretty much shave my head as well but only with the clippers, not slick but more like military, so don't feel bad. Kevin King is really the only one I kept in steady contact with over the years. I talk to him about every other month. He is living in San Angelo and is driving a truck for a living. I think we really need to have a LPE get together somewhere and if this happens I will see to it that Kevin comes. I will be in touch with you soon!
Gotcha! Sounds good...keep in touch bud!
Wow, Mickey, Ron, it's great to "see" you! Diana said she saw Roland Ybarra and told him about this place so maybe he'll show up. Stephanie claims she's going to bring me those talent show pics this weekend!
Perhaps I should install a frontpage bbs. Dang but I hate fp sometimes.
I've said this to Kevin and Stephanie, but I want to say it here, to all of you.
It is one of the greatest regrets of my life that I lost touch with all of you in high school. I was tracked into all those honors classes in high school, but you know what? I haven't kept in touch with any but two of those people, and one of them I met in junior high (Jeff Emrick) and the other I'd known since I was about three or four years old from dance class (Amy Leopard Lee). And the only other person I've really kept in touch with over the years was my next-door-neighbor in La Porte, whom I've known since I was three (Brad Paschal).
I can't tell you how many times in high school I saw, for example, Chris May, and just said hi. Never sat down and talked to him. Perhaps we have little in common, but the thing we do have in common--shared moments of childhood--is very important.
I've come to the conclusion that people you knew in your childhood are the most important in your life (past or present) when it comes to being yourself. Those people know you, the real you, before you learned to play head games and be what you thought other people expected you to be.
So I feel completely comfortable with all of you, even if it's been 20(!!!) years or so since we were in class together. That's why I created this little website, so we could all "be" together again. (And it only took one evening to set up.)
We will definitely have to have a party sometime this summer in La Porte. You are of course all welcome to come out here to Sour Lake, but it's a bit of a drive and I think La Porte is more central to everyone.
Okay, here I go again but I was just looking at the picture and thought I'd leave some news about a couple of people.
I last saw Andy Little at Jennifer Arisco's wedding-- I think that was in 1996. He was working on his Ph.D. in philosophy at Fordham U. in New York. Jennifer is teaching music and drama at St. Anne's in Houston and comes back to work on the musical every year at LPHS (I went to see it this year-- it was really great!).
Susan Heffernan got a nursing degree but I don't know anything about her after that.
I was in the YMCA song in Mrs Crows class but I dont really remember which one I was.I think I was the sailor not Roy. Laura I read your biography are you feeling better. I wish you the best. See ya Ron Periou
HAHA.....fitting that Ronald was the sailor. lol! Susan Heffernan Miller is working at Pasadena Bayshore Hospital and has a daughter....she still lives in LaPorte.
Remember the sailor was black and I am about 99% sure Roy was the sailor because Ms. Crow was really wanting us to look like the real Village People, that is why she originally wanted Roland Ybarra as the indian and Mike Gibson as the construction worker. Also I seem to remember Ronald in that cowboy hat. I could be wrong though, the pictures will tell the truth however. I was also wondering if we would have any legal recourse to sue Ms. Crow for dressing us up as girlie men.....lol.
Ms. Crow really missed the boat because she could have had me and Mickey dress up like KISS and perform "Set Your Head On Fire!!". : )
I would have paid money to see kevin and micky dress up like kiss, and preform, maybe you two guys need to that at our elem. reunion.(lol) wow, this is so great to see more old friends at this site. Thanks, Ronald P. for telling Micky and Paul.
Whats this about" set your head on fire" Kevin if Iam not mistaken I think that Mickey has been practicing without you. Or at least the glare from his head would imply that. Kevin does Kiven King have a e-mail address. Now that I think about it I was the cowboy in that play.
Hey Ronald, unfortunately it looks like I have been practicing with Mickey, I am probably not too far behind him..lol. Kevin lives in San Angelo and can be reached at KWKING@TCAINTERNET.COM. I will try to call him sometime this week to let him know that some of us have been corresponding with each other. BTW, he was real good friends with Chris May, anyone know where Chris is nowadays?
Chris May is the manager of Piccadilly in Clear Lake.
Chris May WAS the Manager of Piccadilly in Clear Lake. He still works for the Company, but they moved him somewhere out of state. I can't remember where, but it is in the South. He is married, but doesn't have kids yet(that I know of). His partents still live in LaPorte.
Iam talking to Chris May as I type. this is his email address the2cs@bellsouth.net. He says hi to everyone.
Guess, I am not the only one at work with nothing to do but browse the internet...lol. Tell Chris that Bilberry (as he fondly called me) says hi. Be sure to get his phone number so I can pass it off to Kevin King.
I think at our reunion/party we are going to have to have BOTH "YMCA" and KISS!
I am sending email to Kevin K and to Chris. Hopefully we'll "see" them here soon!
Thanks for the good wishes, Ron--I am feeling much better these days.
How is everyone doing? I am good. It is so nice to hear from all of these people. I have thought about so many of you over the years since I moved to Alaska while in high school. I now live back in Texas.Keep in touch..... kwking@tcainternet.com I hope to hear from all of you people soon....
Hi, Kevin!!!
Did you see our 1st grade pic? I still love that balloon shirt you were wearing!
O.K. Laura, now I think it is time for a BBS board...lol. If you don't want to mess with Frontpage I can set something up for you and send you the link to link it to your site. Just let me know.
And to Kevin King, I have just put a nice size bed in my guest bedroom, so you need to come to Austin and we can do the 6th Street thing. See ya soon!
What Mickey,Paul and myself isnt invited to stay in guest room . I also have a guest room that someone could stay in if they want to come to LaPorte. Mickey has used the guest room alot over the years especially during the single hot tub years. Kevin King that is a name that we have talked about over the years ( I think Paul still has a crush on you ).This site is getting better daily.
HAHAHA....What a riot! Hey, I have a spare floor for anyone who can't find a decent place to stay! lol! I can definitely see a LPE reunion ahead. Laura.....ya' done good!
Hey, any of you guys are invited to come see us in Austin. Just give me some advanced notice, there is not a shortage of cool stuff to do around here. Actually, I have never had a beer with any of my childhood buds, so that is one thing that would be on the list of things to do...lol.
P.S. Mickey, I play Red Baron 3D online quite a bit and there is a guy that plays in there a lot that serves with the HPD. His online name is "River Rat". I have known him for over a year, though his real name escapes me right now...lol. Just wondering if you would know him, guess his real name might help though.
Hey Kevin B., is 3 hours enough notice because that is how long it will take me to drive to Austin. It is so awesome to hear from some of my childhood friends, I have thought of ya'll often over the years, we do need to get together.
Hey Kevin B can you email me directly ron.periou@equistarchem.com I have some mortgage questions about partial releases.Maybe you can give me some info.
Wanna talk shop huh? Email is on it's way. I will help you any way I can.
This is great! I hope Stephanie will be able to bring me those talent show pics this weekend. I'll get them put up right away.
Kevin B., I meant to email you earlier this week and say go ahead and set up a BBS if you like. FP is just too much trouble (can't do it as a sub-web, have to set up a new login ID) and I have a lot of other projects I'm working on. I'm happy to share the load!
I have to say I've wanted to set up a site like this for a long time. It was on my short list of things to do as soon as I got a scanner! Though perhaps the credit really goes to Kevin B. who emailed me and inspired me to look through all of those pictures and try to identify everyone. Still need all of you to help me fill in the blanks on some of them!
Is that Randy Price in the 2nd grade picture, yellow shirt center of back row?
OK Laura, I will just set up a Bravenet BBS for us to use and you can link to it from here. Did you get those midis I sent you?
P.S. One of these days I will go through with you and make some corrections on the pictures. Two that come to mind is you have Kevin King named but the picture is really Brian Lingbergh (this was a funny one because Brian was a neighbor of mine and Kevin King's and those two did not always get along..lol). Also I noticed that you had Kimmy named in one pic but the person was really a guy named Celestine (forgot last name), just remembered that his mom used to give me free ice cream at the Dairy Queen after school.
Hey Laura, Mickey told me about the site and I think it is great. It is so good to hear from you and I am glad you are feeling better. I don't remember Kevin Bilberry, but we live in Round Rock. It is a smaller town on the outskirts of Austin. We love it here! My family still lives in the same house in LaPorte. What ever happen to Spencer Whitaker? Does anyone ever hear from him? I remember him and Chris May were inseperable. I do wish to tell Kevin King, "Hello!" I remember him, Spencer and Chris being the trombone players in the junior high band. We used to call Kevin "Sunshine" because he was always smiling! Also, does anyone know what ever happened to John Pfeiffer? I remember the talent show well. Elizabeth Shultz (Munoz) was sitting next to me and said "Who is that construction worker, he sure is fine!" And of course it was Debbie Owen. We all thought that was funny! Let me know if you all are going to get together in LaPorte, I would love to come. Tammy

Hey Tammy, I don't remember you either but if I saw a picture of you back then I might. We are practically neighbors. I live between McNeil and Parmer Rd. just a couple of minutes from Round Rock. Actually, where I live used to be Round Rock but it was recently annexed by Austin, it is still Williamson Co. however. I guess you were so fixed on that "hot" construction worker that you didn't remember that blonde indian guy...lol.
Hello Tammy!!!! How are you doing? I hope that all is well with you. Laura did a good job setting this up. Kevin Bilberry, the guy's name was Stephen Celestine.
Hey Tammy!! Do you know what ever happened to Julia Powell? I know that she got married but I have not heard anything about her since. Also, I see that you got married, is it anyone that went to La Porte that I might know?
Kevin, I don't know if you remember, but Julia and I are cousins. She lives right off of Fairmont Parkway in LaPorte. I still see her or talk to her every time I come down. She is married to a guy named Darrol Hutchins. He graduated a few years before us from LaPorte. They have a girl that is 7 and a little boy that is 3. Julia is a stay at home mom like myself. I married a guy that I met in college. He is an Austinite. Not very many of those around anymore. We have two children, Hunter 4 and Ashley 2. How about yourself? Kevin B. I don't know if you know where Brushy Creek is, but we live in that subdivision.
Laura, I have a few updates for you as far as the pictures go. In the first grade photo, top row far left, his name is Paul ? In the second grade photo, first row fifth person, I believe that is Horatio or as we all knew him Lacho Gonzales. Also, second row, sixth person (next to Susan) I believe her name was Angela ? Third grade photo, next to Chris, I believe his name is Jesse ? not Tony. Also, next to Mitzi that's not Irma, that's Mireya ? and next to her that's not Pam that's Jackie Allen. I believe the first person in the top row is Brian Lindenburg not Randy Price. Hope this helps out.
Stephanie, I don't know if you remember playing on the orange blossoms with Petra Rivers and myself. My mom was the coach. Also, Darlene Seal and Tonia Hathorn played with us.
Tammy, Kevin, thanks for the corrections. The scary thing is that I remember all those people you mentioned! Wonder why I couldn't get them ID'd properly the first time.
Kevin put up a nice BBS for us. The URL is
http://www3.bravenet.com/forum/show.asp?usernum=1276781968
I'm sorry about not creating a real link for it sooner. I was really tired this weekend--still am--and haven't been able to do anything I'd like to do. I didn't even call Stephanie so she didn't come over and bring me the talent show pics so you all have another reprieve!
Kevin, let me know which specific pictures those are with the corrections, and I'll try to get to them soon.
Perhaps I should tell you why I'm so tired, when I was doing so well for so long that I could create this site etc. but now can't even manage to correct names. On Saturday I auditioned for the Symphony Chorus here in Beaumont, and in doing so used up all of my adrenaline storage. Basically, anytime I do anything that requires physical stamina (including road trips, exercise, singing) it takes me three or four days to recover. So I should be feeling better in a couple more days.
Oh, I almost forgot: I had a dream last night that we all got together for dinner at a nice restaurant somewhere. It was a lot of fun. Everyone was svelte, well-dressed, and witty!
Thanks Laura, I understand completely about fatigue. My mom, has been dealing with that on top of Lupus for some time now. I also have a friend up North who got Chronic Fatigue at 18 and he gets the very same way. If you would like me to do any updating, such as updating the names, adding any graphics, links, etc. to your website I would be happy to do so for you. I have been taking a Webmaster Course at ACC and need all the practice I can get. All you would need to do is give me your username and password to your server and I have the rest of the tools. Just let me know what you want and I will be glad to do it!
I gave Elizabeth Schultz (Munoz) the link today so she should be writing everyone real soon.Mickey should be writing in this daily since he has been on vacation, its not like he has anything else to due.
OK...OK.....since you insist Ronald. If anyone cares....I quit the Police Department(HPD) and start working for Lyondell-Citgo Refining on May 15th as an Operator. Too much political BS....too little pay to stay in police work. After all....change is GOOD!
Congrats on the new job Mickey, I agree, police and teachers are the most underpaid people on the planet. Is Dwayne Spann still on the force in La Porte?
I had a huge crush on Dwayne Spann our 6th grade year that lasted the entire school year.
Congrats, Mickey!
Nice try, Kevin, but I'm not about to give you my password!
Thanks Laura and Kevin B. for the well wishes on my new job. Hope you are feeling stronger by now Laura and will soon be back to full strength. Dwayne Spann is still with LaPorte PD and is now a Sergeant.
Tammy!! How could I forget the Parson's!?! Your mom was my hero for years! My brother is good friend with Elizabeth so she keeps me informed! I'm glad your doing well! Congrats Mickey, I don't know how much more safe you'll be but the pay will be better!! Tammy, e-mail me with your numbers.... stephanie@vbiauction.com
Hello, everyone. Kevin B. you hav ebeen busy latly, doing so much writing. Are you still in classes? Hello, Kevin King, nice to see you at this site. I 'm glad your doing well., you asked how Julia Powell was or if any one had seen her, she's doing great living here in lomax. She has a daughter that she teaches softball to, and I see her at lomax elem. thats were are kids go to school at. I'll tell her you said hello, and were asking about her. Micky, so you made the big step, I wish you the best, and I know that you will succeed in any choses that you make. stephaine, It was so nice meeting you at grengo's the other day, you still look the same, you are still very cheerful and bright, and I;m so glad that we are friends again. Laura, hope that you feel better, don't ware your self out, and hope to hear from you soon again. Ronald P, We did catch two fish at the pier that day, and my son won the awrd of the most unusual fish. Better luck next year, I;m sure your kids had fun fishing though. I think that we need to get a couple of people together to start planning a school reunion, I don;t mind if you guys want to set a date and get together at my house this summer, or we could meet at a private place were we could have a small party, at least that way Kevin B could have a beer with some elem. buddies. Well, take care all and let me know if you guys want to plan something. Diana Hill Cook
Hello Diana!! It is nice to hear from you and I am glad that you are doing well. Yes, if you would, tell Julia that I said hello... If anyone see's Dwayne Spann, tell him that I said hello also. Ronald P., did I hear that you have children? Tell Paul hi.... Does anyone know what ever happened to Robin Roth, Denise Romero, Denise Ballard, Corey Lee, or James Luckey? Hello Mickey!! What are you doing with all of your time off? Yes, Tammy I do remember that you and Julia are cousins. It is good to hear that you are both happy and doing well.
My goodness we are getting busy here!! This is pretty fun. I also had a good time Diana. We will do it again!!
Kevin, I believe Denise lives up here in Austin. I saw Robin at the ten year reunion, but not since.
Cool, party at Diane's house! Hello guys, actually I have been real busy and haven't visited here in the last few days. Nice to see this isn't dying out. In case some of you missed Laura's post, I put up a "La Porte Silverstreak's" messageboard for us to use as well, drop in and say hi!
http://www3.bravenet.com/forum/show.asp?usernum=1276781968
Yes, y'all do go check out Kevin's BBS-- just click on the link above!
I am really enjoying reading about everyone. I knew Denise Romero from a very young age since we went to church together (St. Mary's) and always had Sunday School together. There was a whole group of us that were in that class together every year-- I wonder if I could find a picture of our first communion class? (that would have been 1st or 2nd grade.) Hmmm....
Then there was our Brownie troop!
I am feeling a little better today, but my "to do" list has grown rather long while I've been out of it for a week so I'm still not sure when I'll get to these picture updates.
BTW, I'm sure you all have noticed that when you post to this board, you can't see your post. To do that you just need to reload the frame. To do that, right click in this frame and choose "reload frame."
Hey Kevin K.! I am just enjoying these last two weeks off. Haven't really done anything...I had finals this week anyway. This is the first vacation I have had in 10 years. Can you say: NO LIFE! James Lucky is a Texas State Trooper(DPS) and is now working at the Driver's License office on Dover street in Houston. He was Highway Patrol, but just went to the desk job not long ago to get off of the streets. Another smart move. Thanks to all for wishing me luck on my NEW job. Good to hear from Stephanie and Diana.
In response to Diana's post I too would like to see us get something together. I will be in the La Porte area in mid June due to the fact I was "volunteered" to be the DJ at my mom's La Porte HS reunion. I probably will not be able to do much that weekend though considering I will have to be helping these guys out. Any other time in the summer would be fine with me. I think I can be in La Porte in about 3 to 4 hrs so most weekends should be doable for me. Does everyone want to do this? Anyone have any ideas as a time or place?
I wanted to get everybodys opinion, has everyone read what that guy name James Perry writes about being a Air Force pilot and running Dea runs that guy is funny. Iam very proud of my job also but that guy makes me laugh, he is probably like the mechanic by the way he is always bragging.
Sorry Ron, I have no clue to what you are referring to..lol. Looks like Mickey has started his job, don't see anymore of his funny post!
Yep.....started work yesterday. It's going very well. Thanks for noticing Kev B. Getting free food everyday too! Looks like Ron's workdays are pretty slow.....haha! He can take up my slack. I've seen that guy's posts Ron. "I'm an Air Force Covert Fighter Navigation Specialist Instructor-type person". Who cares?????
I guess you just had to be there....
Oh, is the guy Ron referring to, bragging about himself on the LPHS forum? I have to go check that out..haha. In the meantime I will find a fancy way to describe my job so I can join in on the fun ; )
BTW, glad to hear things are going well with your job Mickey. Don't be a stranger. Funny thing is I almost feel like I am in 3rd and 4th grade again. Your sense of humor hasn't changed a bit since then..lol. Wasn't it Mrs. Carter that sent us to see Mr. Davis for cutting up or was that Mrs. Nash? "Set Your Head On Fire!!"
Kevin B when you come in town for your moms wedding can you meet us for lunch. It would be great to see you. By the way Kevin you havent ever mentioned if your married or have any kids. (just a fyi) If we meet you for lunch ill have to bring my wife but shes ok.
Oops, accidently hit enter prematurely....
LOL, my mom is already married. It is for her High School reunion. It is the '59-'63 La Porte HS reunion. Yes, I married a girl from Madrid Spain and have been married for 3 years now. She is real neat, I taught her all the English she knows, Texas slang and all...haha. I don't have any kids, just a young Doberman. I would love to meet yall for lunch and meeting your wife, my wife would be there as well. Send me your phone # and we can set something up. txtwister@austin.rr.com
You know, for some reason that scares me. A man teaching his wife all of the english she knows.
The scary thing was when we were dating. She knew very little English and the little Spanish I know didn't help much because she speaks the European Spanish which is different to Mexican or South American Spanish. It is pretty much like comparing our English to British English. So she understands Mexican Spanish. Because she is from Europe she is white and can pass as an American. This becomes fun because most Mexicans think she is American and at times speak their minds in front of her in Spanish not knowing she understands every word they are saying. We had a funny incident at a Luby's where she asked for something in English and the girl made a smart remark in Spanish thinking my wife was a dumb American and wouldn't understand her. You should have seen the look on that Mexican girl's face when my wife replied rather harshly in Castillian Spanish.
Kevin B., What's your mother's maiden name? My dad graduated from LaPorte also. I can't remember the year though. Is the reunion at Sylvan Beach? I need to ask my dad if he is going? Did you say your are going to be DJ'ing?
My mother's name is Beverly Powell (maiden) and her brother who will also be there and is one or two years older is E.J. (Jay) Powell. The reunion is in Clear Lake at a hotel I believe. My mom and some other classmates are working hard to get a hold of everyone who graduated during that time. Give me your dad's name and email or phone number and they will contact him. Yes, I was volunteered to do the DJ'ing.
Kevin, My dad's name is Robert(Bobby) Parson. His email address is robert_parson@enron.com. My dad's brother also graduated during that time. His name was Doug Parson.
Tammy, I sent my mom an email asking her if she knew your father and his brother and this was her response.....
Oh my God. yes. Ann, Bobby's sister and I grew up in jr hi and hi school together . were very close . loved to goof around with Bobby. Bobby does not seem old enough to have a kid? Geez... I called Doug tonight, to get Richard Sinclairs number and Doug and Jeanette aren't home. Doug's daughter lives in Longview, her husband a doctor with Eric Berg, till Eric and Kim moved here. They are close. But get this::: Bobby, Doug, Ann's mother Clementine Browning Parson, is Nana's best girlfriend in high school well all the way from first grade. They grew up in Lomax. The Miller's owned part of Lomax and so did the Brownings, is where CLementine came from. Her and Nana won championships in high school for swimming and basketball. Nana comes to La Porte and sees Clementine. They lived behind us growing up too. That is why Margaret Ann, Bobby and Doug are the first people we met in La Porte.
How did you find the Parson's??? Bobby's dad used to come to the drugstore where I worked after school for coffee everyday. He has passed away. Clementine lives alone. She had another daughter later in years, not sure of her name. Ann and I were cheerleaders together too. I'd love to see Bobby, he was a nut. SO funny.
Doug paid for his tickets, he grad in 1959, used to drive me and Ann around since we were too young to drive yet. He was Mr. LPHS, he told me he didn't know if he was coming, I said I bought a LPHS Mum for you to wear and my son will pin it on you as Mr. LPHS of 1959. Bobby grad after us around 1964 or 65?? Yes he can come anyone can that wants to buy a ticket they are $30.00 each. Where did you see the Parson's???
They have been close with our family for years. Since Clementine and Nana grew up together, next door. They still are best friends. Ann and Bryan paid. But have not heard from Bobby, but didn't send him an invite but some from his class are coming anyway. Get his address and I'll have Don send one out.
Love Mom
Kevin B. I think that Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Nash BOTH sent us down to Mr. Davis during our tenure in each of their classes. What BAD little kids we were!!!! Ask your Mom if she also knows my Mom. Her name is Marilyn (Hutson) Johnson. She graduated around the time that your Mom and Tammy's Dad did.
Kevin and Mickey, Do you remember Mrs. McKinnis? She was my 4th grade teacher. I stayed in touch with her for all these years. They live in Louisiana. Anyway, I guess about two or three years ago, she told me that Mrs. Nash passed away. Her and Ms. Hampton went to the funeral. Ronald do you remember Ms. Hampton living down the street from us?
Well, I have to agree with stephanie, a man teaching all the english he knows to his wife, she probly only knows what he wants her to know, so I suggest that when kevin B comes down for his moms reunion that he let stephanie and I take her out and teach her some english vocabulary from a womans point of view??? Is that ok Kevin? Hello, to all, I hope everyone is doing well, and I guess no one is gonna take charge to this little reunion so I will, I think July 22, 2000 sounds good to me, It is a saturday, everyone let me know if that is good for them and well go from there, we can have the get together at my house, we have a pool table, dart board, and we can barbeque and have a party, and invite your other half too. home phone 281-867-0356 cell phone 281-867-0356 e-mail address prissyprin01@aol.com
Sounds good to me!! Let me know if you need any help!! Kevin, don't forget you wife. I already have a notebook full of things I want to teach her!!
July 22 is my parents' 34th wedding anniversary, so I'm sure it's okay if I spend the weekend in Houston! :-)
Tammy.....Oh my goodness!!! I hated to hear about Mrs. Nash. She was a classic! Paul and I still talk about when she would come back into the room and we were all talking loud and she would scream "HUSH!" Then everyone would put there head down on there desk. HAHAHA...what a trip. Hate to hear that. What did she die of?
Tammy, Guess who I talked to yesterday..Nicole Hatter!! Do you remember her? She said to tell you Hello!
I have been real busy and haven't been here in a week. I remember Mrs. Nash yelling hush and putting our heads on the desk. I also seem to remember she saying "Shhhh!" followed by someone yelling "it!" That must have been Paul...lol. Hate to hear that she passed. I wonder if Mrs. Carter is still alive. She had to have been in her late 60's or early 70's back then. As far as my wife goes. I obviously taught her enough English for her to chew me out from time to time ; ) . I appreciate Diane taking some initiative and that date might be doable for us. I hope it works for everyone. I think I have a lunch date with Ronald and wife when we come in June. Is that still on Ron? Hope to see everyone soon. Someone tell Paul Kistler hello for me since he obviously doesn't have a computer : )
Hello everyone,
It's so nice to here from all of you. Ronald told me about Laura's website about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I finally had time to check it out. This is great!! Spencer Whitaker lives and works in Houston for Coastal Corporation. I think he's an accountant. I have his phone number if anyone would like to call him. Spence is still really good friends with Donald Hill who also lives in Austin.
After graduating from high school I attended Texas A&M University and received a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Economics(Business Management). From there I went on to take a job with Piccadilly Cafeterias. I worked in Baytown for two years then transfered to Clear Lake City. I worked there for 2 more years and I now live in Woodstock, Georgia. Woodstock is about 25 minutes north of Atlanta. The countryside here is much different from that in LaPorte. The Blue Ridge Mountains are only a few minutes away. I failed to mention earlier that I got married back in May of 1993. No kids as of yet! I look forward to hearing from all of you soon. Thanks again Laura for this website, it's great!
My email address is the2cs@bellsouth.net
Hello Chris! Good to hear from you. Glad you are doing well. I lived in Greenville, S.C. for a about a year and visited that part of Georgia a few times. Yes, it is pretty country. So you turned out to be a stinkin Aggie did ya?? I thought you were a Longhorn growing up but you must have been a closet Aggie all along. Hopefully you swore off those sorry Cowboys too ; )
Hey Kevin B!
I hope everything is going good for you. I could never be a longhorn even though my wife is a graduate of t.u. She has a Bachelors degree in Nursing from the t.u. medical branch in Galveston. If you would like to give me a call sometime you can reach me at 678-445-0485. See Ya!!
This is a message for Kevin King. I sure was glad to here your doing ok. I've often wondered how you and your family were. I thought you were still living in Alaska until I talked to Ronald a few weeks ago. How are your mom and dad? We really used to have some good times playing baseball with your dad. Call me sometime or send me your number and I'll call you. Talk to ya later!!
Chris
Stephanie, Of course I remember Nicole! Tell her I said, "Hello!" I remember my mom and dad giving her a ride to her grandmother's house after softball practice.
Chris, glad to hear you are doing well. Do you and Spencer still keep in touch?
Hi Tammy!!
I'm sorry to say I hav'nt talked to Spencer in a couple of years. I really need to call him!! I don't know if he has a computer or not but I'm willing to bet he does. I'll call and tell him about this website. Talk to you soon, Chris
Hey Bilberry, lay off of the cowboys or you will suffer the wrath.(ha-ha) What's up Chris? It is so good to hear from you. How is your mom and your brother doing? I do remember playing baseball all the time. We sure did have a lot of fun growing up, didn't we? Also, I can remember spending the night at each other's houses all the time and playing a lot of football and basketball. I am glad to hear that you are doing well. I was a bit suprised to hear that you were married because you were so very shy growing up.(hehehe)I will give you a call sometime soon. Tell your mom and Clint that I said hello and if you talk to Spencer, tell him that I said hi also.
E-mail address is kwking@tcainternet.com
Hey Kevin,
My mother is doing just fine. She finally sold that old house we grew up in about a year ago. She bought a new house in LaPorte.
My brother is also doing well. He is married and has a little boy. He's basically running my dads exterminating business. My dad is pretty much retired.
Talk to ya soon, Chris
Tammy, Your mom and dad gave everyone a ride home from softball practice!! I remember they had that brown station wagon!!
Stephanie, Your right! I remember us loading up in the back and dropping everyone off! Do you remember going to Dairy Queen and getting banana splits if you hit a homerun? I loved playing ball! Tammy
Tammy, I remember one time(in band camp)J/J, your dad couldn't make it to the game so after the game we all went to DQ and your mom called him at work and we all yelled "WE WON" into the telephone. I thought that was so cool.
By the way...our e-mail has been down since Saturday!!! It should be up today sometime..
Diana offered to host a reunion on July 22nd. Does this sound like something everyone can do? We should probably let her know real soon.
Well, If Diana would RETURN phone calls it would be a lot easier to confirm and make plans with her!!
I start shift work July 15th, but I'm good if I'm not working that day. Not sure what shift I'll be on then though. Sounds good as any to me.
I can't believe you could embarrass so many of us by putting those pictures on the web!!! It sure brings back the good old days. I also can't believe that many of us stay in touch. I see Ron at soccer & didn't realize he was that into the old days.
Ron is just an OLD FART!
Wow, it's great to hear from you, Chris! You too, Vanessa! See, it was only by putting the pictures up that I could get people to sign in and say hello! And Stephanie keeps PROMISING that she's going to excavate her parents' attic and find some pictures from the talent show.
Sorry Laura!! It can't be this weekend tons of things to do! So maybe next weekend.
I am game for that weekend. Let me know if I can help in any way. I hope she lives close by. Keep us up to date on the details!!
HELLO, SORRY I HAVE BEEN SO BUSY, TO RETURN PHONE CALLS STEPHAINE, AS YOU KNOW I JUST GOT A JOB AS A CHEMICAL OPERATOR AT DOW CHEMICAL IN LP, AND THE TRAINING, HAS BEEN L0NG, AND TAKEN ALOT OF MY TIME, BUT AS OF JULY 1ST I WILL BE OFF TRAING AND WORKING 4 DAYS ON AND 4 DAYS OFF, SO I WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE ALOT MORE, I MISS SEEING YOU TOO, AND ANT TO GET TOGETHER AGIN REAL SOON. SO, HOW WAS BON JOVI? I HEAR YOU ON THE RADIO. (TATTOO AND ALL) I AM STILL OPEN TO HAVING A REUNION AT MY HOUSE IF YOU GUYS WANT TO, ANY TIME YOU GUYS CAN ALL COME, EVERY ONE E-MAIL ME, PRISSYPRIN01@AOL.COM TO LET ME KNOW AVAILABLE DATES AND PHONE NUMBERS AND I WILL, PUT TOGETHER THE BEST TIME FOR MOST EVERBODY, AND CALL EVERY ONE BACK, FOR THE TIME AND DATE, ETC.. WELL, TAKE CARE ALL,
My Daddy was not overly happy about the tattoo thing. But I met my man! WOOHOO!!
Hey you guys are leaving out way too many details. You met Jon Bongiovi? (his real name) Sounds cool. I had his hair style in the 80's...lol. My band played the same club circuit as him and some others such as Cinderella, Skid Row, Britney Fox, etc. New Jersey was one of my favorite states to play in. I never met him though but I remember him helping Tommy Keifer (Cinderella) get his band a record deal with Polygram and some others followed. When Britney Fox got signed I thought we would be next. I couldn't wait to play the Summit and give out a shout to my old friends in La Porte...lol. Boy was I dreaming. I had fun while it lasted but 99% of the guys in bands in that circuit had to eventually cut their hair off and get real jobs...haha. Maybe I could round up some old friends and we could do a live Heavy Metal gig at our reunion. If all else fails me and Mickey could at least do some KISS tunes. ; )
By the way I will be in the La Porte area this weekend. Anyone interested in meeting somehere? Ronald wanted to meet us for lunch but I havent heard from him in awhile. That still on Ron?
I won a breakfast with Jon and Ritchie at a radio station in town. I would get into more details but Mickey will make fun of me (or of Bon Jovi). But it was really cool. I took tons and tons of pictures.
HUH HUH! Yeah....and they SUCK, TOO!!!!! I can't say much though, because Bon Jovi sang our(1987) Senior song. Anyone remember what it was?????
I am really not much into Bon Jovi either. Their first 2 albums are the only ones that are decent in my opinion. So what are you into Mickey?
Mickey, not everyone can be as cool as you. BUT let's not turn this into bash Bon Jovi!! And the answer to your question is "Never Say Goodbye"
Kevin, you asked what Mickey was into.. HIMSELF!!! HAHA!!
Mickey, It was Never Say Goodbye! I really liked that song. It definitely was a great senior class song! I liked Bon Jovi, some Guns'n Roses, Prince, and a lot of the pop stuff. Of course now I love country and rock!!!
Bon Jovi? Who's that?
Just kidding. I'm pretty sure I remember that he was a rock star whom a lot of girls were in love with when we were in high school. I don't listen to the radio much anymore though.
Kevin, I would've made an effort to see you when you were in Houston last weekend, but I was on Cape Cod! Yes, I went to Yankeeland for a family reunion. (Did y'all know that "yankee" is NOT a bad word up there?) It was COLD-- well, not cold like Chicago is cold, but lows in the 40s at night and a few days the highs were barely into the 60s if that high. I told those yankees that that is like winter down here and they didn't believe me! It did warm up into the 80s on a couple of days though.
The next family reunion will be in Wimberley, Texas! No more of this yankeeland stuff! Actually, it was quite beautiful up there and I do understand why so many people go there. It was very pleasant when it wasn't raining, and the cold weather was record-breaking so not exactly normal June weather. And we were there before the "season" started so the price on our cottages/cabins was quite low-- school isn't out until next week! I highly recommend y'all go there someday if you get an opportunity.
And I'm thankful I didn't run into the Clintons! But the trip home was horrible-- bad weather shut down the entire eastern half of the US and we sat in the Providence airport from noon until 8pm when we finally boarded the plane, and then didn't take off until 8:45. We stayed the night in New Orleans so it was somewhat mitigated by having beignets and cafe au lait at the airport in the morning. But it took approximately 30 hours to get home.
Diana, congrats on your new job! I hope it works out well for you. I am looking forward to the "reunion" at your house the weekend of July 22. If Stephanie hasn't produced the talent show pictures by then we can go over to her parents' house en masse and excavate the attic! Do you have a turntable? I can bring all of my old record LPs-- Quiet Riot, .38 Special, Def Leppard, the Cars, etc., etc. I think I have the soundtrack to that Kevin Bacon dancing movie which I can't even remember the name of. And if y'all REALLY want to have fun I can bring all of my sheet music (assuming Diana has a piano!)-- I'll just have to brush up on "Don't it Make My Brown Eyes Blue" and "Hopelessly Devoted"-- both of which, believe it or not, I just bought within the last couple of years, and they were the first sheet music purchases I've made in many years -- my collection stops ca. 1987, with a few exceptions.
It is so cool to see all of you here. Don't be shy about posting what's going on in your life-- the rest of us DO care and we DO want to know!
Just got home from my weekend in the La Porte, Clear Lake area. We stayed at the Hilton across the street from NASA and this was also where the La Porte H.S. Class of '59, '60, '61, '62, and '63 reunion was held. We had a really great time and I got to meet hundreds of people that graduated from La Porte with many members of my family in that era. I was there DJ'ing this event as a favor to my mom and actually enjoyed it. I had a few pleasant surprises. For one I was sitting with my Uncle having a few drinks and his best friend from High School was with us. I noticed that his last name was Christiansen and I asked him if he was any relation to Tammy from our class. It turns out that it was her father. I told him about our online reunion and he is going to get me her email address or phone number and maybe one of us can contact her. He said that she is married and has a few kids. I believe he said she is living in Mt. Belview. I also was approached by a very classy lady who identified herself as Mickey Johnson's mom. We had a very pleasant conversation where she ended it by apologizing for putting such a card like Mickey into this world (just kidding...lol). You have a great mom Mickey. They had a list of all those who had deceased and I noticed two Rankin boys were on that list. One was Willie and the other one's name escapes me. I was afraid that one of those was Ernest and Mary Rankin's father. Ernest was a real good guy and I sorta had a few dates with Mary when I was in La Porte over the summer years back. I occasionally kept in touch with Mary and did meet her father once. Salvadore Jaime was also listed, he was one of my baseball coach's in 7th grade when I was on a team with Pat Jaime. They read the names of all on the list and I noticed some were crying, that was the only down part of the evening. The rest of the night was great. I played music from their era and some starting dancing, etc. It is obvious La Porte pride goes back many years. Most of my family graduated from La Porte including my grandmother back in the mid 30's. Unfortunately the 3rd generation stopped with my older sister who graduated from L.P. in '81. She luckily finished school just 2 years before my family had to move to the Northeast where I had finish school. Anyway I have many other stories but I will save them for when I get to see you all person. I am sorry I didn't get to see any of you this time around but we were busy the whole time and it would've been hard anyway. Look forward to seeing everyone in July.
Hey folks, My mom got us Tammy Christiansen's email address and I wrote her telling her about this site. We probably will hear from her soon. That is one more down. How many more to go??
Hello Everyone!! What is everyone doing for the 4th? Being safe I hope. Anyway, I also got a new job! WOOHOO! Not by choice, we got bought out. The owners son is taking my position. Well, just wanted to say "hello" and Ronald, Tasha wants you to call her.
Stephanie, congrats on the new job!!
Any details about our reunion on the 22nd? Is this an all afternoon/evening affair or just evening? Diana, do you have a piano? A turntable?
WELL, I HAVE ONLY GOT 3 PEOPLE WHO HAVE CONTACTED ME FOR THIS REUNION, AND THAT WAS KEVIN, STEPH, LAURA. IS THE DATE TO SOON, SHOULD WE CONSIDER A DIFFERRENT TIME, IS THE SUMMER HARD, BECAUSE KIDS OUT? WELL, I GUESS WE WILL PUT THE REUION OFF TILL WE ALL FIGURE OUT WHAT IS A GOOD TIME. WELL, MY NEW JOB IS GREAT, LEARNING ALOT, I JUST GOT BACK FROM FLORIDA, I TOOK MY SON TO ORLANDO, WE HAD A LOT OF FUN. HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING GOOD.
It would be nice to meet some of you again after all these years so I hope we can get something together. Is anybody still visiting here regularly?
I'll be on evening shift on the 22nd, so it'll have to be real early or real late for me to be there.
Oops! I looked again and will be on day shift, so an afternoon deal would work for me.
I am still planning to come to Houston for a few days this weekend and would love to see as many of you as can get together!
My projected visit to Houston (which was to last several days) fell through for a variety of reasons, but I did go to Houston with my family yesterday and before heading home we went to Tookie's for dinner. You will never believe what I heard on the radio there! "Boogie Shoes!" Talk about a nostalgia trip!
What's up??? Does anyone visit this site anymore?? What has everyone been up to?
Hey Kevin,
Nice to here from you again. How do you think the Cowboys will do this year? I sure hope they can get back to the superbowl. I think they have a good chance if Aikman and Emmett can stay healthy. Washington will be hard to beat with all the people they picked up as free agents. Write me back soon!!!! Chris
P.S. Do you ever do any hunting out there in San Angelo?
Glad to see people are still here!!
What's up Chris? Yes, I do think that the Cowboys will do well this year, the key is for them to stay healthy. They will have a very good offense, but I am a little worried about the defense because of the loss of Deion. How are you doing? Did you marry anyone that I might know from LaPorte?Do you get back to Texas very often? Tell your mom and Clint that I said hello and I hope that everyone is doing well..... Take care, Kevin
Hello Kevin, I'm doing just fine! Just been working alot lately. I married a girl named Christine that I met while I was going to Texas A&M. She's a beautiful petite blonde gal. We will have been married 7 years on the 14th of this month. Paul Kistler knows my wife. He was a groomsman in our wedding.
The last time I was in Texas was in November of 1999 but I plan on making a trip over after the first of the year. We've only been here a little over a year.
Maybe one day we can all get together. I would really like to see our classmates.
Talk to you soon, Chris
Hey guys, been busy and haven't been here lately. First of all the Cowboys will go in the tank just like Michael Irvin who is probably serving time in there about now. Geez, those Cokeboys just can't stay away from that stuff. Dallas will probably have a good 6-10 season. Tampa Bay will take it all this year and Texas will finally have a team of it's own in 2002! Go Houston (whatever they call themselves)! Speaking of football, we ran into Major Applewhite at the HEB next to my house. My wife literally ran into his girlfriend, she accidently hit her with a shopping cart : ) . He was pretty cool and very Opey looking. Can't wait to take back that sympothy win we gave A&M last year. Enough about football. So how is everyone doing? Is anyone still up to getting together sometime?
Hey Bilberry, how about putting a little money on that 6-10 season... I will give you $10 for every game that Dallas loses and you can give me $10 for every game that they win.......
Hey Bilberry,
You sound just like a damn t-sip!! Ya'll cry every time you lose to A&M (last 10 out of 13 years). We'll see who's talking smack on Thanksgiving Day!!
By the way, Tampa won't get past Dallas or Washington!!! Later, Chris
Tampa won't get past Dallas?, well that is probably true because Dallas won't be in the playoffs which means the mighty Bucs won't be playing them : ) . It looks like Kevin King is in a giving mood this year. Let's see a 6-10 record get's me $40, not bad. Kevin, you better hold off on that bet because you might be oweing me $160 by years end. ; )
Oh Chris,
Three Texans go down to Mexico one night, get drunk, and wake up in jail only to find out that they are to be executed in the morning, though none of them can remember what they did the night before. The first one is strapped in the electric chair and is asked if he has any last words. He says, "I am from the Baylor school of divinity and I believe in the almighty power of God to intervene on behalf of the innocent." They throw the switch and nothing happens, so they figure God must not want this guy to die and they let him go. The second one is strapped in and gives his last words, "I am from the University of Texas School of Law and I believe in the power of justice to intervene on the part of the innocent." They throw the switch and again nothing happens. They figure that the law is on this guy's side, so they let him go too. The last one is strapped in and says, "Well, I'm a Texas Aggie Electrical Engineer, and I'll tell you right now you ain't gonna electrocute nobody if you don't connect them two wires."
P.S. Hook'em Horns!
You are wrong there Bilberry, the Cowboys do play the Bucs this year during the regular season... I understand if you are afraid to take that bet, I guess that you don't really beleive what you said about the Cowboys. The offer still stands.....
Boys! Boys! It is ONLY a game!!!
Tammy, I have a new e-mail address..give me a shout
sdonnellan@idexglobal.com
Hey! Me and Laura and Tasha Satterfield (Smith) are getting together Saturday. We are going to Joe's Crabshack on the boardwalk. If anyone else wants to go let us know. We're going to meet over at Tasha's around 6:00 - 6:30 pm. Give me a call or e-amil me.
Cell 832-256-1080 Home 281-421-5837 sdonnellan@idexglobal.com
It sure was fun! I wish some more of you could have made it.
HEY! I'm headed to DALLAS for the Cowboys LAST PRE-SEASON GAME....I LEAVE LATER TODAY(AUG. 24TH) Kevin K.....BET YOU WISH YOU WERE GOING! AMERICA'S TEAM STILL KICKS BUTT!!!!! THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Mickey!!!! I hope that you have a good time at the game.. I will be attending 3 or 4 games this year, if you are going to any more games let me know and maybe I will see you there.......
THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN???? What town is that? Huntsville?? .....lol. What in the world have any of you seen in the preseason to make you believe the Cowboys are going to win anything this year?? I agree wins and losses mean nothing in the preseason but they don't look good at all. The only thing they have going for them is a weak division. I still stand by my 6-10 prediction. No one is getting by the awesome Bucs defense!
Houston in 2002!
What kind of pills are you taking there ,Bilberry? A weak division? Washington is picked to win the Superbowl this year... I guarantee you that Dallas will be better than 6-10 & I am willing to bet you on that one. Dallas has not shown very much in preseason but they never do.. The years they were winning Superbowls they had losing preseason's. It has never mattered much to Dallas to win the preseason games as much as to evaluate the talent of the younger guys to see who might make the team.
I second that statement!
Remember Bilberry............DALLAS is AMERICA'S TEAM!!!!!!!!!
Not the Buks or is that bux? haha!
LOL, Mickey. Maybe I am remembering incorrectly but I thought you hated the Cowboys back when we were in school. Weren't you an Oilers fans back then?
I strongly dislike the Cowboys for two big reasons, 1.) I had to grow up with Kevin King's bragging about them my whole childhood. Dallas never lost, they either won or got cheated..lol. Remember that Cowboy/Oiler game on Thanksgiving day back in '79?. Earl Campbell didn't beat them, the refs did. 2.) The fact that they are indeed America's team is another reason. When I lived in New York, they were either a Giants fan or a Cowboys fan. When I lived in Delaware, they were either a Eagles fan or a Cowboys fan. Let me tell you this, there is nothing more annoying than a Yankee Cowboys fan! Outside of Texas people don't relate the Cowboys to Texas, it is more like a Hollywood thing. When I lived in the northeast and wore my Warren Moon jersey, etc. people knew I was from Texas. If I wore a Cowboys jersey I would have just looked like every other loser "Vinnie" walking down the street in South Philly. I have been a Tampa Bay fan since I was a kid and I am not from Florida but the Oilers were always my favorite. Once the NFL is back in Houston they again will be my #1 team and Texas again will have a team of it's own....O.K. I will get off my soapbox for now and await Kevin King's harsh response..lol. ; )
What do you mean Texas will finally have it's own team? The reason your damn oilers had to leave the state was that they could not compete financially with Dallas, and Bud Adams knew it. They didn't leave, they were run out son!!!!!!! As far as that one game that Houston one, the only reason you even remember that is because it is always something big when you beat Dallas, and lord knows that hasn't happened very much from your team. Just admitt that you are wrong and we will get off your back
Does anyone watch baseball?
Cowboys fans are also annoying in southeast Texas.
I hear you Laura. : ) I lived in Dallas for 3 years and the residents of Dallas are much more realistic about the Cowboys and not as fanatical. That explains why they don't draw fans when they are losing. Once the Oilers left I tried to root for them because I lived there in Dallas but between Jerry Jones's ego and hot air coupled with the fact that it seemed players were going to jail every other week just made it impossible for me to pull for that circus. This board was put up for us to reunite with our childhood friends and basically we (me, Kevin King, and Chris May) are starting off where we left off as kids, ..arguing about the Cowboys..lol. Anyway, it is all in fun, football would be boring without these things. So how are you guys doing? Are we ever going to have that reunion?
For your information Bilberry, the cowboys have been selling games out for years, even if they are losing.... They are the only team that sells every game out at home and away games.
The National Enquirer sells out every week and I'm pretty sure we would all agree it's a rag.
I can spell really...
test
Whew! Okay, sorry for the glitch. The guestbook was broken but it's fixed now! (Thanks, Randy!!)
I have some good news: I aced the last test I took for admission to the state bar. So I will soon be licensed to practice law in Texas!
Okay, the cowboys suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats Laura on your progess!
Relax Kevin, they beat the Skins lastnight. Actually I was glad to see that billionare punk of an owner go down. It is nice to see that some rich fan can't just buy his favorite team and then try to buy a Superbowl by buying all the best free agents on the market. I still stand by my 6 - 10 prediction on the Cowboys however. By they way, how 'bout my Bucs?...an impressive 3 - 0! It looks like we might have some offense to go along with the league's best defense now! Pewter Power!
Oops almost forgot, I am trying to copy that Madden CD for you Kevin. I think they did something to it to prevent people from copying it but as with most things there are ways around that. I might have it figured out. I am going to test it at work. I will let ya know as soon as I have successfully copied it.
Boy!!! Those Buccaneers are tearing it up.....
congrats laura!!!! hello every one!
Hello everyone, I have been very busy and haven't been here in a while. Judging by the number of post (or lack there of) it doesn't look like I am alone : )

Hey Tammy
Did you get my email I sent ya some while back? I met your father at his LPHS reunion and asked him if he was related to you when I saw his lastname. He said "that's my daughter!" I told him that you may not remember me since I left LP after 7th grade but I wanted to let you know about Laura's site. Come to find out, him and my uncle were best friends growing up. Glad to see you made it!
Hi, Tammy!
I have some pictures from Brownie meetings with Tammy and Belinda and others. Hmm. Maybe I'll put them up since no one has come forth with talent show pictures.
The Guest Book wasn't working for a couple of days, but it's back now!
It's been awhile since I was last here. Glad to see that people are still finding there way here. Hey, Cindy, nice to hear from you. Same to you Tammy. Keep in touch.
